Oysters

Trays and pipe that will be dipped in cement, and then put out in the water on lines to catch spat. (Baby Oysters)

Our crew on a hot, summer day picking small oysters to move into our growing lines.

After we get a catch of spat, we then place the small oysters into bags to grow. These bags are stretched on a long line just under the surface of the water.

These oysters are one-year old.

This oyster is now in it's second year. It is now ready to go to the bottom of one of our Beds in the Malpeque Bay to finish growing.
