Pastry for 9 inch pie |
1/8 cup of chopped celery |
3/4 cup of mussels |
1 and a half Tablespoons of Butter |
1/4 cup of diced potatoes |
1 Tablespoon of flour |
1/2 Onion |
Chopped Thyme |
1 clove chopped garlic |

Step # | Instructions |

1 | Scrub the mussels and cook in boiling water for 10 minutes and then shuck them. |
2 | Reserve the liquid and cook the potatoes in it. Remove and set aside |
3 | Saute onion, garlic and celery in butter. Stir in flour, thyme and salt and cook for two minutes |
4 | Slowly add cooking liquid and cook until thickened. Add Potatoes and Mussels. |
5 | Place in pastry-lined pie plate and top with pastry. Bake at 400F until crust is browned. |
