Want to Steam Some Beautiful Soft-Shell Clams? So do we!
To begin, rinse and brush the shells (to clean off the sand), and discard any broken shells or siphons that don't pull in at all when touched.
Then, put the clams in a large pot with an inch of water at the bottom. Feel free to throw in a few sprigs of parsley and a clove of garlic. Bring the water to a boil and steam them for about 10 minutes until they open. Discard any that do not.
Take out the clams and serve them with melted butter or white bread. Then, enjoy a wonderful feast!
